Shaun Lee, Coach Rumney RFC 1st XV : "The Pontypool forwards dominated this game and the conditions assisted their platform. The squad defended very well against an organised side, we contested for the ball at every opportunity but the conditions didn't lend themselves to free flowing rugby. I was very disappointed with the penalty count especially in the first half, our discipline this year has been very good and we must not let that slip.I was very encouraged to see Keith Lee at scrum half have his first full outing, he played an important role and was selected as Man of the Match. We shall be training Monday and Wednesday this week as we are playing against Treorchy on Friday."
