Jim O'Brien, Rugby Secretary Rumney RFC : "We were a shambles in the first half but we ended the half with a lovely try by Dan Clements. The second half was good in parts and we ran out surprisingly easy winners."
Con Ritchie, Rumney RFC : "A good game played against a strong Llanishen team which built up a 22 - 0 lead by half time. They scored again early in the second half to put them 27 - 0 ahead but then we scored two quick converted tries and finished the game the stronger side. Wing forward Ryan Fenton had a superb game, he is a dynamic player and justifiably won the Man of the Match award."

well. In the front row Dean Simons was excellent, we dominated
up front and with the backs also playing very well it was a good
all round performance. Outside half Danny Clark controlled things
and the try Ryan Sutton scored was brilliant, there was a lot
of fine interpassing leading up to it. We do however need to stop
getting yellow cards."

Con Ritchie, Committee Rumney RFC : "A very good performance. There were passive scrums and basically our defence was far superior with scrum half Larry Feneck causing havoc. Jason Wheeler scored a marvelous try and Stephen Paige, Anthony Leach and Lee Miller all went very well. Not a bad game to watch to be honest, but the key was that we defended better than Fairwater did."

In the second half Georgie Kemble came on and turned the game. Rumney played well in the second half and outscored Bedwas but by then the game was lost. Man of the Match was Georgie Kemble."
