Ian Riby, Rumney RFC : "At the end of the day Taff's Well's strength up front won the game. After a long lay off Rumney Athletic's lack of matches showed in disjointed play, although we did get better and better as the game progressed. In the first half we were three points down and had most of the play but could not convert it into points and then we went from 0 - 13 down to 15 - 13 up through three lovely tries. It was then that the lack of games showed as the Taff's Well front five exerted more pressure and they made some late scores. The Man of the Match was second row Emyr James."

lineout jumper and the front five performed admirably. As the
game drew on general fitness and the absence of key players showed
against a well drilled Bedwas team. Paul Bull led very well, Lee

first half, giving away silly penalties and dropping passes. Once
we moved the ball we scored a couple of nice tries, the experience
of Anthony Moore and Terry Gee showed and Paul Bull's all round
play was excellent. Luke Khan made some very good breaks at outside
half, Dan Clements had a fine game at flanker, and at the end
of the day it was fitness that told. The Man of the Match was

Ian Riby, Rumney RFC : "We went behind with an early penalty but the sides were pretty evenly matched and Clwb Rygbi threw the ball about and ran everywhere but in the end the Rumney defence was very good. Anthony Moore was a controlling influence up front and there were good passages and an outstanding try by Rhys Hallett with interpassing from our own twenty two. Paul Bull's lineout work was good, Luke Khan made plenty of nice breaks, got the line going, scored a nice try and was voted Man of the Match."
