Cyril Locke, Committee Rumney Youth : "It was a tough game with Llantwit Major pressurising us but we put a lot of pressure back on them too in the first half and then built it up in the second half. Llantwit had a late try but we scored again after that to put the final nail in the coffin. Chris Milton, Joey Deacon and Calvin Maynard had excellent games and the forwards were wonderful today. Winning this game made Rumney champions of the Cardiff Blues BA League and we look forward to playing Pontypool United in the semi final league playoff on the 12th May. We are in the semi final of the Cardiff and District Cup at Tremorfa Park, Cardiff on Tuesday evening and are in the semi final of the East District Cup next Saturday."

The forwards were amazing and we dominated the possession but the backs didn't have enough ball and we did not take the chances we had to win. Bonymaen were good in the backs especially at 10 and 12, but with the bad weather and the wind we couldn't do anything and are gutted to have lost."
