Rumney have never won at Parc Mawr and this was no exception - they were 19 points down before Jason Fofana scored their first points with a well taken try following quick ball from a scrum. Bonymaen's outstanding scrum half Daniel Hawkins was once again the mastermind behind many of the home side's attacks, scoring two tries himself and setting up others. Rumney prop Paul Douglas was the best forward on the field and with Mike Peard, Ben Atkins and Glenn George also on top form a 36-7 deficit was reduced when the visitors ran in two tries and converted them - one by Peard following a quickly taken penalty by Steve Barber and the other from Simon Greedy which rounded off a length of the field move. However Bonymaen had exceptional pace behind the scrum and former Swansea wing Simon Davies brought the match to a close with a spectacular 50 metre run resulting in a try in the corner.
